SARPAM provides technical advisory support to the SADC Pharmaceutical Programme. This includes a resident Technical Advisor and access to a network of highly experienced pharmaceutical experts in the region and internationally.

SARPAM also enables the work of the multi-stakeholder SADC Pharmaceutical Advisory Committee that has been mandated by SADC Health Ministers to advise on the implementation of the SADC Pharmaceutical Business Plan.

We provide SADC Member States and the Secretariat with short-term technical assistance from suitably qualified experts, for instance to conduct technical studies, undertake monitoring and evaluation activities, and gather information from SADC Member States, in accordance with Terms of Reference agreed by Member States through the SADC Secretariat. A technical assistance facility and open commissioning mechanism is being developed for regional institutions and Member States to access specialised expertise.
